Hamilton and John F. Sutton, married 24 DEC 1858 in Washington Co., VA. Mary E. Hamilton was born about 1841 in Hawkins Co., TN, d/o John Marshall Hamilton and Sarah B. Snow. Siblings were Thomas N. Hamilton (abt. 1843) and John Bell Hamilton (22 JUN 1845). Sarah B. Snow died about 1848 in Hawkins Co., TN and is buried at Liberty Cemetery in Hawkins Co., TN. John Marshall Hamilton moved family to Washington Co., VA around 1849 and settled around Mendota, VA. Remarried to Sarah Boyd Fugate MAR 1850, Russell Co., VA. They had 3 children: Martha J.
