Their daughter married my ggg-uncle Lunsford Holmes. His wife Mary is probably a Cuddy, since they are living in the Cuddy household in 1870. Descendants of John C. Stanfield Generation No. 1 1. Holmes, 83, died at 8:30 a.m. today at his home here. A native of Washington County, Mr. Holmes had lived in Plasterco for the past 35 years. He was a retired employee of the Olin-Mathieson Chemical Corporation. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge at Saltville, Va. Surviving are three daughters Miss Mary Holmes of Plasterco, Mrs. H.F. Clear of Hansonville, and Mrs. L.G. Price of Plasterco; one son, James H. Holmes of Plasterco; one brother, Floyd H.
