Shiloh, Why don't you get a copy of the obituary. That is also an acceptable document for the DAR. Sometimes parents & siblings obits also carry the needed info. You local DAR secretary should be able to help you getting some alternate documents to prove relationship. You can also get in contact with the funeral home and get all the information from them, as all the info from the funeral home is what is sent to the stste for the death certificate.
