For some reason James B. Wolfson has Herman's Warrant as being in what is now South Londonderry Township: "Lebanon County Warrantee Booklets" by James B. Wolfson Warrantee or Patentee -- Township Map LATOORE, Herman -- South Londonderry Township http://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:v4JWZ7uhN2sJ:ancestortracks.com/Lebanon_County_Index,alpha.pdf "(herman latoore)"&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=5&gl=us&ie=UTF-8 You can buy a warrantee map of Mount Joy Township for $12.00 ( $5.00 postage & handling) at the PA State Archives Website. This township map may have merged survey plots for all (or almost all) of the original land purchases from the State of PA: http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt?open=space&name=CommunityPage&id=1&cached=true&in_hi_userid=2&control=SetCommunity&PageID=259964&CommunityID=1592&&LinkPath=http://www.phmc.state.pa.us/bah/dam/WarranteeTwpMapPrices.htm There are no complete warrantee maps for Lebanon Co., PA. Looking at an ADC Street Map Book for Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Little Chickies Creek flows south from South Londonderry Township, Lebanon Co. to Mount Joy Township, Lancaster Co. at a point where the PA Turnpike crosses from Lebanon Co. to Lancaster Co. Thus it looks like Herman LATURE's 121 acre tract was a ways west of this "intersection." - - - - - - - - - - On May 1772, Herman LATTUR of Mount Joy Township, Lancaster County, yeoman, granted a "Right of Way" to Christian HERR of the same place, yeoman. John Casper STOEVER and the Warwick Lutheran Church: Emanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church also called "Old Warwick Lutheran Church" is located in Brickerville, Elizabeth Township, Lancaster County. Elizabeth Township was formed from Warwick Township in 1757. In 1742/1743 Pastor STOEVER began records for this church. In 1744 land was granted and the first log church built. In 1806/1807 the present brick church was built. Church records, 1743 (or 1730?) to date are held by the congregation. The old (1743-1857) records are in German script. Rev. STOEVER retired from the pastorate of the church in 1754. Within a few months after Pastor STOEVER came to Brickerville, (1743), he was instrumental in the purchase of twenty-nine acres from John Penn, Thomas Penn and Richard Penn. With the acquisition of the twenty-nine acres, the congregation erected a crude, log-cabin church, according to traditional sources. The Emanuel church cemetery is one of the oldest in Lancaster County. A list of family names in the first church record spans the years from 1731 to 1772 and the names in the index are the names of the fathers of the children baptized during that time. The list also contains a few names of adults who were baptized. [The list of names includes Martin SPICKLER (the sponsor with his wife of Herman & Barbara's marriage)]. He was born in 1738 and he or his father probably immigrated from the Palatine section of Germany. He was married to Susannah Margaretha, I don't have a last name. He was on several Baptism records as parent or sponsor for baptisms performed by Rev. John Casper STOEVER. I am looking for information on his parents as well as any information regarding his immigration. i.e. Ships names etc. Also it is highly likely that the spelling of his name may have been different in his Palatine Ancesters.
