His will (probate date 27 Nov 1917- Washington Co., VA) lists the following children: Vance Edward BOWMAN (married Eleanora MINNICK) Andrew H. BOWMAN (married Clarricie ??) Carrie Mae BOWMAN DUFF (my great grandmother- married Samuel Walter DUFF) Martha DENTON (wife of A. David DENTON) David (deceased) Grandson John (son of David) There is no mention of a wife in this will so I assume she may have died before him.
