    3. Lisa, Do believe there is a connection with our Myers. David and Catharine could have been brother and sister. This is so exciting. I have just started to research this line with not much to go on. William and David Myers are both listed in John Lindsey's estate appraisal. I shall have to give you the details. That is all I have found about David. No land records or marriages, at least in Washington Co. VA. (I do have Naomia Myers m. Woodson Woods in my Washington Marriages book). Is that your connection? Here is the Estate appaisal: This is from microfilm of Washington Co Wills that I photocopied from Knoxville TN ... The East Tennessee Historical Center, Calvin M. McClung Historical Collection. I believe this must have been Washington County VA......Washington County TN is a different place). This Inventory and Appraisment of the estate of John LINDSEY dec'd was returned to Court and Ordered to be recorded. J. CAMPBELL (seal) ____________________ Thats it... The Wm. and David MYERS are one of my clues to Catherine, who is probably a sister-in-law to the deceased John Lindsey above. John Lindsey was a young soldier, just married in 1813, volunteered the same month of his wedding an re-enlisted at least 3 times during the war of 1812. He died of disease in Norfolk VA, while in the service. His wife (Elizabeth Rambo), remarried in 1819 to a John Wilson in Washington co, and many are descendent from this couple. She received land grants on the service of John Lindsey. If you want to know more about your David MYERs, you could check the War of 1812 military records, he could have signed up for service in VA or TN if was in the same generation. Many did from Washington Co. VA. I will have to look up my source of 1812 records for you. I will post this to the general list. It may be of interest to someone else.
