Thomas Jefferson Musick, and Mary Catherine Powers: 04 Apr 1864 Groom: 35 y; Widow; Born Russell County, VA; res. WCV; farmer; s/o Ephriam and Elizabeth Musick. Bride: 18 ; Single; born and resident of WCV; d/o Henry and Sarah Powers. Married by James C. Campbell Ann Powers or Nancy Powers of Smyth VA were not the parents of Mary Catherine Powers and are from NC. Family presently unknown. We did have Harvey and William Powers in Smyth VA 1850 and 1860 who migrated to Gentry Mo by 1870 and George W. Powers in Scott County who's children later migrated south to TN. Other Powers of this family remained in Russell VA and Washington VA and some children of Henry Powers migrated to Johnson KY. Other children remained with Henry and Sarah Powers along with Thomas Jefferson Music throughout the early 1900's in the Little Moccasin Gap area of Washington, VA. Would be happy to share more of this Powers/Musick connection if anyone is interested. Janet Powers Maune
