John Lewis was born in Washington County, Virginia about 1817. His parents were William and Mary Lewis of Washington County, Virginia. Could my William by related to your William, father-son? I'm not sure how he ended up in North Carolina to meet and marry Cessa, but that's what the records are showing that I have found. John and Cessa were my gggg grandparents. I hope there is a match here. John died and Cessa remarried a man by the name of Calhoun Davis.
