Amen! My ggg grandmother, Martha "Patsy" Gobble Caylor Price is the daughter of John and Jemima Linder Gobble. James S. Gobble in his Gobble family histories had made an error in the Martha's and had that John and Jemima's daughter Martha had married Robert McKnight. The Martha who married Robert McKnight was almost the same age and cousin to our Martha, d/o John and Jemima. I had the delight of corresponding with James and when he saw the deeds proving relationship of our Martha to John Gobble, he sent in a correction to the Washington Co., VA Society. The last I looked at address below it had been changed on the Caylor/Kaylor line but not on the Linder line. I tried to get it changed and couldn't. Martha's second marriage to John Price in Wayne Co., WV (VA then) shows her the daughter of John and "Gemima" (Jemima) Gobble and that she was born in Washington Co., VA. That was our final proof along with the deeds. Martha sold her land in Washington Co., VA in 1852, as widow of George and moved to where two of her children (Joel and Matilda) lived in Wayne Co., VA. George was the son of John and Mary Keaphart Caylor/Kaylor, John's will is on the Washington Co. VA website. My line is Michael C. Caylor, brother of Joel and Matilda.
