VA William Sylvester Snodgrass born Sept 1838 Saltville, VA They had two children: 1. Ira Fuller Snodgrass born 5-16-1860 died as an infant. 2. Martha Ann Snodgrass born 9-10-1861 Abingdon, VA (my grandmother) Wm. S. Snodgrass died 2-28-1862 Winchester, Frederick Co. VA and was buried at Saltville, VA. Charles W. Webb was named guardian of Martha Ann Snodgrass in 1864. She was only three years old. The Webb family was kin to the Snodgrass family in VA. Her mother was very much alive and had remarried, so I don't know why she had to have a guardian unless an estate was being held for her as the heir. Abigail Florence Murdock Second married Jess Lee Earls (he was a step father to Martha Ann Snodgrass. Martha used the last name of Earls instead of Snograss when she married my grandfather, Wm. W. Wilburn 12-25-1877 at Gainsville, Cooke Co. TX.) Abigail and Jess Earls had three children: 1. Stonewall Lee Earls 2. Jack Earls 3. Joe Earls After Jess Earls died, Abigail Florence Murdock Third marriage William "Bill" Henson Bill and Abigail had three children: 1. Truman Henson born 10-17-1912 TX 2. Verita Henson born TX between 1913-1919 3. Willie Lee Henson born 5-16-1920 TX Abigail Florence Murdock Fourth married Joe Terry in Harrison, AR They had no children. Abigail Florence evidently followed her daughter to Ganado, TX where she died May 14, 1925. Back in the 1930s and 1940s when we visited in Ganado, TX the Henson children all lived there. Martha Ann Snodgrass Wilburn died 12-25-1945 in Houston, TX at the home of Lola Lee Wilburn Muery. She only had one husband, Wm. W. Wilburn. Her mother Abigail is the one who was married four times.
