Hello - I would like to thank the various people on this list who wrote me regarding Robert Stewart and others. Robert was listed as a son of William Stewart whom I believe migrated from Scotland. According to one gentleman, Robert married an Elizabeth Hussey. My ggg grandfather Robert Stewart was married to a Mary Unknown in 1850 in the Mercer Co., Va census. The Robert Stewart, son of William, was in Washington Co. in 1810 but not 1820. In 1820 and 1830 I find a Robert Stewart in Giles Co. He then is on the Mercer Co. censuses for 1840, 1850, and 1860. Mercer became a county in 1837, I believe. Of course I had hoped that the Robert in Washington in 1810 was mine. Again, thank you all very much. Sincerely, Richard Stewart
