    1. [VAWASHIN] SCOTT'S in Washington Co., VA early

    3. Does anyone have SCOTT'S in their line that went to Kentucky, possibly late 1700's or early 1800's? My ancestor, WILLIAM SCOTT, was born 31 Oct. 1809 somewhere in Kentucky. He went from there to Washington Co., Indiana where he married Agnes Jamison in 1832, who had gone to Indiana with her family from Logan Co., Kentucky. She was born in So. Carolina in 1809. On census records for William and Agnes, they indicate that William's father was born in VA, and his mother was born in KY. Since many of my other ancestor's were also from Washington Co., VA, I thought perhaps there were some SCOTT'S who traveled in groups southward and into Kentucky. My William and Agnes (Jamison) Scott had four daughters, so tracking has been made more difficult on that line. I descend from their 2nd dau., Miranda Adeline Scott who married George Isiac McReynolds in Iowa in 1861. My main line of research in Washington Co., VA is McREYNOLDS - and they were in Russell and Washington Co.'s, VA for many years before heading west. Some on this line went to NC>TN> and Allen Co., KY, before going north. Donna
