You can get free on-line virus scanning at: http://housecall.antivirus.com/pc_housecall/ One thing I have found that saves the day is to download any attachments (expected or otherwise) to a floppy disk and I then scan it with my AV software a second time (I have configured mine to scan any downloaded files automatically).
