However, I want > to notify the correct local relatives. > > leslie c foster > ********* Leslie, The WASHINGTON COUNTY NEWS dated June 13, 2001 details the upcoming July 4, 2001 ceremony to honor soldiers of the American Revolution: Monument to Honor War Heroes The Black's Fort Chapter of the DAR is erecting a monument in the Sinking Spring Cemetery in Abingdon, Virginia to honor soldiers of the American Revolution who are buried in Washington County. The public is invited to the dedication ceremony which will be held on July 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the cemetery. Any person who is a descendant of one of these soldiers can receive a special invitation by writing to Black's Fort Chapter DAR, 425 Winterham Drive, Abingdon, VA 24211.
