Greetings, Mac McNutt from the VAWASHIN-L@rootsweb list wrote this to me in response to my query about 2 rev war vets who are on the list of those being honored on July 4 in Abingdon, VA: Katie If you go to this website Virginia Evaluation Information Online . Then to publications, And then click on online orders. You will find boxes for you to fill out your address and then scroll down to the publications you will see NO# 264. Its about the rev war gravesites. Click order and in about A week you will receive the book. The good thing about it is you do not even have to pay postage and the book is free. I do show Peter Johnston. It does not show when born, But does show he died in 1831 and County as Washington and city as Abingdon. It does not show Robert Neeley. But this book even shows what Cemetery they are buried in. order and enjoy. Mac McNutt PS: Please let me know when you get it. Then you can let others know about it. Thanks a bunch Mac, for the information. I did go to the site and there are data bases downloadable for Virginia vets and graves and cemeteries, which I saved to CD. Lots of information there for all VA counties. I didn't order the book though. There are these data bases available: List of Veterans and Patriots Likely Buried in Virginia Excel Spreadsheet or CSV Text File List of Veterans with Reported Gravesite Locations Excel Spreadsheet or CSV Text File Site Visit Information (LOCATION OF CEMETERIES) Excel Spreadsheet or CSV Text File Explanation of Numbered Sources Acrobat PDF File The site is <http://jlarc.state.va.us> If you have rev. war vets possibly buried in VA, check this out, its great. Found LINDSAY, JOHNSON, MYERS, NEELY, etc. Don't know which ones are mine yet. Happy July 4 early.
