Can anyone give me definite directions on where this might be located? >> The Shutters cabin was located on Reedy Creek Road about four or five miles west of Abingdon, Va.. Part of the road was closed many years ago, isolating the old Shutters cabin.. The old cabin has fallen down and decayed and I don't know what condition the cemetery is in.. To get to the cemetery and cabin site you have to walk about 1/2 mile off Childress Hollow Rd. (rt 614).. There was a Breckinridge farm on Rt 633 (Black Hollow Rd) about 1/4 mile west of the Heavenly Rest Church.. I believe the Breckinridge and Shutters lands may have joined.. This may be the family you are looking for, I'm not sure. You can see a picture of the old Shutters Cabin on my website at: http://hearlshill.freeservers.com/index.html The "Scenes" Page contains thirty pictures so give it a few minutes to download. (usually about four minutes) Everyone is invited to take a Look! Hope this helps, G. Lee Hearl Authentic Appalachian Storyteller Abingdon, Va.
