He died October 1787 in Albermarle Co., Virginia (1). His wife Catherine was born abt. 1707 (2). They married in 1736 in Pennsylvania (1). Their son David was born bet. 1750 & 1758 in Augusta Co., Virginia (1) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7). Sometime before 1799 David Cain moved from VA to the north bank of the Powell River on land in the "Henderson Tract", near Speedwell, Union Co., TN. (8) (9). Before 1800 he lived in Claiborne Co., TN. (10). He died bet. 1828 & 1835 in Speedwell, Union Co., Tennessee (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7) "David and Martha Cain, members of the Davis Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Speedwell, Tennessee. The minutes of the church between the years 1812 and 1821 are missing, however, in a membership list compiled when the minutes were resumed is a notation "David Cain, deceased." So he died between 1812 and 1821." (8). Mrs. Martha Cain died 10 September 1845 in Claiborne Co., Tennessee (11). They had 6 children: David b. abt. 1780 (3) married Martha. Jesse b. October 1781 (1) (3) (4) (11) married Sarah Osborne. He d. 19 November 1863 in Speedwell, Claiborne Co., Tennessee (3) (4). Daniel b. 15 July 1784 in Washington Co., Virginia (3) married Elizabeth Box (3). He d. 25 November 1847 in Plymouth, Hancock Co., Illinois and is buried in Irvin Cemetery, Plymouth, Hancock Co., Illinois (3). William b. 1798 in Campbell Co., Tennessee (3). He married Nancy (3). He d. 25 February 1879 in Powell Valley, Campbell Co., Tennessee (3). James b. 1802 in Claiborne Co., Tennessee (3). He married Elizabeth Hunter, (b. 1802 in Speedwell, Claiborne Co., Tennessee) daughter of Henry Hunter and wife Barbara Bollinger. James d. 19 November 1863 in Claiborne Co., Tennessee (2) (3). His widow d. in 1851 in Litchfield, Montgomery Co., Illinois (3). Martha (IMPORTANT NOTE: Martha Cain is NOT mentioned as a daughter of David Cain (b. 1758 VA) in the 1998 Descendants chart done by Dan Rohrback. It is SUPPOSED that she MAY BE the daughter of David & Martha. Additional data is ALWAYS requested & encouraged.) Born bet. 1782 & 1790 (7) (12) (13) (14) (15) she married Jesse Dever in 1806 in Claiborne, Tennessee (16). William b. 1798 (3) married Nancy. He died 25 February 1879 in Powell Valley, Campbell Co., Tennessee (3). I hope that this information is of some use to you.
