My gg grandparents are Willis and Elizabeth Gregory Ingle. Their daughter, Nancy J. married Jonathan D. Andis s/o James and Nancy Pippen Andis. They were married in 1865. One of Jonathan and Nancy's daughters married William L. Gumm but it is spelled with the m's and not n's. There is an Andis cemetery in Washington Co., VA. Buried there are Jonathan, Nancy and Henry Andis along with Botts, Childers, Cunningham's, Elizabeth Andis Fleenor, Gumm's Hughes, Hoss, Price Owens, Rowe, Talbert, and Whites. Marguerette

The Pippin family came from Russell and Scott Counties and, before that, from Maryland about 1790.. G. Lee Hearl Authentic Appalachian Storyteller Abingdon, Va.
