I am looking for records or other information concerning my ancestor Isaac Farris (b. 1788, location unk./d. 1857, Switzerland Co., IN). His first son, William Lee Farris, was born 3/19/1818 in Washington Co., VA. His wife has traditionally been though to have been a Sarah Thompson, but this may be inaccurate. I suspect that my Isaac was listed in the 1810 tax records for neighboring Russell Co. as Isac Faris, but appears in no other known records in that county. I do not have access to the 1810 or 1820 census records for Washington Co., so if anyone does and could see if there's a ready match, I'd appreciate it.
