Barr, who died in Abingdon 1897. Belive him to have been the acting surgeon of Martin Gary's Cavalry Brigade and paroled at Appomattox, although the name on the parole lists is garbled. Education, dates of birth and death, place of burial. He was mayor or Abingdon 1863-64, and on Town Council 1865-66, and was active in the American Medical Association until shortly before hsi death.
