The Iron Horse Campground is at the intersection of Hwy 58 at Blossom Road on the west end. That intersection/area was also known as "Roe Town" or "Roetown" ---- and I think the Roes and Speers may have intermarried. That is also in the same area as the Roe Cemetery, which is off Hwy 58, I think Vails Mill Road to Cornett Road to the cemetery at the top of the hill on the left. (It's been years since I was there, and I don't live in Washington Co, so my directions may be a bit off. Sorry) Back to Laurel Community. There is a church on Blossom Road which is in a building which I was told was formerly the Laurel School Building. I think the church is called "Laurel Community Church." Blossom Road is only about 1/2 to 3/4 mile long and runs parallel to the Laurel Fork of the Holston River and also parallel to Hwy 58. Hope this helps.
