My ancestor came to Washington Co. in late 1700's; some of his children were baptized in Wythe Co, VA. I have found no records of any of his children being baptized in Washington County. The father purchased property in Washington Co, but later, a child was baptized in Wythe County. Did they return to Wythe County to their "home church" for their child to be baptized? or had they just not yet moved to Washington County, and were still living in Wythe County? Mary Kegley has transcribed some church records for Wythe county. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
