    1. Re: [VAWASHIN] Looking for Opposum Creek
    2. There are three Opossum Creeks in Virginia; one in Campbell County, one in Grayson County, and one in Hanover County. None, of which, would have been in Washington County in 1782. There are two Possum Creeks in Virginia; one in Scott County and one in Smyth County. The one in Scott County would have been in Washington County in 1782. It is located near Winegar Mill. Go to Mapquest.com and key in Winegar Mill, VA as a location. Zoom in a little and you'll see Possum Creek and where it flows into the Holston. The description stated - in the county of Washington on Opposum Creek a north branch of the North Fork of the Holston River. I have tried USGS to no avail. Can anyone help? Thanks.
