I see the Ketchum Cemetery on the USGS Konnarock Topographic map -- but I can ’t find any mention of it in either “High on a Windy Hill” cemetery book or in the original index for Volume 1 (which had an appendix with 36 cemeteries not listed in the original Volume 1) -- which is interesting as it is on the Topographic map. - - - - - - - - - - Anyway Joseph and James CATCHIM had tracts of land that seem to have been in the vicinity of Widener Valley which includes the following: WC Survey Book 1, page 405 - Jacob HORTENSTINE - 109 ac - treasury warrant ... 100 acres by warrant #16765 and 9 acres by warrant #15027 ... on a branch of the south fork of Holstein River ... beginning on the south side of the knobs corner to Joseph CATCHIM's land - June 8, 1793. Hugh KETCHUM served in the Revolution in North Carolina, and in his pension papers stated that he went to Washington Co., VA after the war, before going to Knox Co., TN. My gf was Sam KETCHUM, Black Jack’s bro. Sam was killed by a posse and Black Jack (Thomas Edward) was hung in Clayton NM. One of Edward KETCHUM’ s CH named his son, Razor.
