You can attend Saturday night performances at the Carter Fold at Hyltons, Va. in Scott county throughout the year. June Carter was wife of Johnny Cash, I'm sure you've heard of him! Before their deaths, they performed Christmas programs at the Carter Fold and had a home nearby.

    3. Yes, the Carter Family, A. P. Carter, Sarah and "mother' Maybelle were from the Clinch Mountain, Poor Valley area of Scott County.
