The Piper land joined the land of Rev. Charles Cummings who came to establish the Sinking Spring church at Abingdon. My gggrandfather, Henry Roberts, married Sarah Piper, a widow. I don't know her maiden name. The Piper family probably came from Augusta Co., Va., if you are interested in further research on them. G. Lee Hearl
