BROWN's WC Marriage Book on page 56 is the following two marriages located between the years 1814 & 1815: 09 Mar (no year) Landmon SHORT & Nancy GOBBLE, by James HOBBS. 06 Feb (no year) James SMITH & Elizabeth LYNDER, by James HOBBS. BROWN has no info on James HOBBS other than his name appears in the marriage records from 1801 - 1815. a lot of the GOBBLE's and the LINDER's were in the area around the North Fork of the Holston River.
