I've often wondered if this was Martin Davis' father. The census listed John Davis from North Carolina his wife 'Lucianey' and their sons Alexander who is age 3 and Andrew age 6 months Right? (They all are listed together on page 530) This COULD be Martin Davis' father. Martin had a son named Andrew and a brother named Alex Davis. HOPEFULLY Martin's Andrew is named after John's Andrew. All we know about Martin's brother Alex is that he worked on the railroad with Martin. They both may have retired from the railroad in 1915. Most of the info I have is on Alex's brother Martin (My Great Great Grandad). I hope there is a connection here somewhere.
