Hi As most of you know, back in the 1770s Botetourt Co. was a major county in Virginia. By 1772 one of the counties created from it was Fincastle Co. (1772-1777). Two of the many created out of Fincastle are Washington (1777) and Russell (1786) counties. Does anyone know if there were any newspapers published for these areas during this early period? If there were no newspapers for these particular areas, does anyone know what publications early settlers in these areas might have had access to. Caroline
