I had always considered Maria Gill to be a dead end as far as research goes. I had wondered if she was a Gill or had previously married a Gill before marrying James Allen. I am descended from her daughter Eliza Ann Gill, who married William James Callahan in 1859 in Wash. Co. Do you have any documents showing Maria's parentage?
