Southwest Times Published May 27, 2005 RUBY BAILEY COX PULASKI – Ruby Bailey Cox, 88, of Pulaski, Virginia died Wednesday afternoon, May 25, 2005 in the Highland Ridge Rehab Center, Dublin. She was born on July 3, 1916 in Abingdon, Va. and was the daughter of the late Luther Bailey and Roxie Denton Bailey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jake Davis Cox, by a son, Thurman G. Cox, a daughter, Kathleen McGlothlin, a grandson, Timothy E. Cox, a granddaughter, Debbie Moore, and by a great-granddaughter, Robin M. Cox. Surviving are: her brother, Calvin Bailey, Knoxville, Tenn.; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Opal Cox, Pulaski, Timmy and Glenna Cox, Hillsville, Frank and Joyce Cox, Pelion, S.C., Arthur and Caroline Cox, Louisa, Va., Charles Dean Cox, Lexington, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Sharon Cox, Wytheville, Va.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens mausoleum, Dublin. Visiting will be Friday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Pulaski, Va.
