Married on 12 FEB 1795 in Washington Co. VA. I have the page of VA Colonial Marriages that shows them m. by Charles Hardy. Is there an actual bond or license that might give me more info? Do I write to the Washington Co. Historical Society or to the Washington Co. VA Courthouse for this record---if one? And, would someone know the cost? I know it is $10.00 for research at historical society. I do not know what it is to obtain a marriage from the courthouse, if any for the 1795 date. Thank you, Shari
