My name is Donna, maiden name is Berry and I am descended from a John Berry born in 1794 in Gallatin, KY...I don't know who his parents were, but his wife (Elizabeth Melton) and her family originated from Albermarle Co, VA, so I am thinking that this may be where his parents came from also...all of this seems to be extremely complicated due to the fact that the names seem to be so common, and tend to carry through from one generation to the other....so I am in search of finding out who his parents were and exactly where they may have come from prior to arriving here in the US...CAN YOU HELP ME ?
