She was the daughter of William Galliher and Nancy Walker. Jane died bef 1864. They had 3 children, all females. Mary B. was born 11 Jan 1835. Elizabeth Catherine (my gg grandmother) was born 29 May 1840, and Martha J. L. was born 22 July 1842, died 23 Jan 1859. I don't know anything else about the girls. My gg grandma, Elizabeth, married 1st a Thomas Leek on 27 Feb 1864. He died a year or 2 later in a mine accident. They had one son. Elizabeth then married a widower, Samuel K. Rice on 24 Dec 1872 in Johnson Co., KY. They went on to have 4 more children, one of which is my gr grandmother. I did not know much about Joel's 2nd marriage. There is speculation that John Q and Joel Adams are brothers and moved from Washington Co., VA to Johnson Co., KY about 1855, but I have no documentation. Please let me hear from you. You must be from Joel's 2nd wife, and I from the 1st. I am also curious as to Joel B.'s parents. There is a Joshua Adams who married Mary Buchanan in Washinton Co., VA on 8 Aug 1805, and wonder about any possible connection. Thanks- Cindy Spencer
