From what I can tell no one really has any varifible proof of Catherine's maiden name, I know her first name is Catherine because it's on her headstone. All the family records I have end at Jacob here and I've seen serveral various trees that put him in different places with a wife with various last names. I've heard he comes from PA but no one seems to know where that rumor comes from. From everything that I have seem the guys shows up in Chilhowie with alot of money out of know where, and people with that much money usually have a paper trail somewhere.
