Many of the Deed Book 3 through 7 abstracts were taken from Jack HOCKETT’s books of WC deeds (he wrote individual books for each WC deed book). There was no one named WOLF/WOLFE in WC Survey Book 1. (Each items cost was also listed). << 2. Lawrence Wolfe m. Elizabeth Snider on 17 Sept 1795 in Wythe County, VA Her father was Michael Snider and she is listed in the 1850 census as 80 years old, born in PA. Lawrence died circa 1841 ( Will dated 23 Sept 1841 >> There is 3 page family history on Peter MUSSER that mentions Lawrence WOLFE & Elizabeth SNIDER. "Peter MUSSER is said to have married Catharine SNIDER, the daughter of Nickolas SNIDER ... Peter wrote his will on December 6, 1815, and the will was probated a short time later on February 13, 1816 ... The Negro and all personal property were to go to his wife, and at her death to Peter’s brothers, John MOSSER, and Adam MOSSER, and his three brothers-in-law, Michael STEFFEY, Lorentz WOLF, and Henry PICKLE ... Mary KEGLEY combined the following surnames in her index (SNIDER, SNIDOW, SNIDOE, SNYDER). A Nicholas SNIDER was granted a Land Grant dated 10 Jan 1797 for 435 acres in Wythe (now Smyth) Co., VA on Nicks Creek near the MFHR and the Shelton’s Bottom survey.
