John Young who married Susannah Whisenhunt about 1791 in Washington County, does anyone have a list of children for them? I am looking for information on John Young who married Jerusha Patrick d/o Jeremiah Patrick. Especially children list (Burdine Young b. 1800 d. 1858 is noted as a son). They lived in Russel Co. VA up to about 1813 then moved to Wayne County, Kentucky. Also see note from post back in 1999 regarding the predicament. I am looking for the other branch the John & Jerusha Patrick line, but it seems I have to distinguish between the two Johns to get through this. "NANCY JANE2 NECESSARY (WILLIAM HENRY1) was born August 1806 in Russell Co., VA, and died 1876 in Matoon, IL. She married WILLIAM CUBINE November 01, 1833. Children of NANCY NECESSARY and WILLIAM CUBINE are: i. WILLIAM H.3 CUBINE, b. Abt. 1840; d. Kansas City, MO. ii. LUCINDA CUBINE, b. Abt. 1843. iii. ELIZABETH CUBINE, b. Abt. 1845. iv. The following is from page 11 of "Abstracts of Court Orders of Wythe County, Virginia, 1831-1840," Vol. 4, (1999) by Mary B. Kegley: August 8, 1831 ... "On an application of Daniel HARMAN, it was ordered that Samuel HARMAN, Joshua BRUCE and Gilbert MURDOCK view the new road proposed from Giles County line at William CUBINE's running to intersect the main road to the Plaster Bank at the house of Daniel HARMAN and report." 1. Re: [VAWASHIN] Elizabeth Cubine (b. 1845 VA), parents William and Nancy (_____) Cubine of Wythe & Washington Co. VA; siblings William H., Lucinda, Joseph L., Emanuel
    2. Lee Anne Center
    3. I am looking for more information on Elizabeth Cubine (b. 1845 VA), her siblings [William H. (b. 1839), Lucinda (b. 1843), Joseph L. (b. 1848), Emanuel (b. 1850)], and parents (William & Nancy (____) Cubine/Cubin (see the federal census information below). The list of her siblings may be incomplete. It came from the 1850 and 1860 censuses. If you are researching any of these Cubines, I would love to learn more about them from you. Elizabeth Cubine (b. 1845 VA; d. after 1881 and before May 15, 1885) married in Washington County VA on 11 August 1867 James M. Bland [b. March 1844 Giles County VA; d. 30 April 1896 Choate Prairie, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory (now in Pittsburg Co. OK)]. Elizabeth's parents were William and Nancy Cubine, who lived in Washington Co. VA. Elizabeth and James had several children in VA and by 1880 were in Montague Co. TX, along with several Cubines who appear to be her siblings. The names in the 1880 Montague Co. federal census below are the same as Elizabeth's Washington Co. VA Cubine sibling's names in the 1850 and 1860 Washington Co. federal censuses. The 1880 Montague Co. TX census also shows some of James and Elizabeth (Cubine) Bland's children's names (son Riley E. Bland was born in 1881). I also compared the names of these children with 1890s and 1900s marriages of Blands in Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory (now Pittsburg Co. OK) and determined that some of the Indian Territory marriages were for James and Elizabeth's children. 1. [VAWASHIN] Help with a Perry Marriage late 1840s and Perry Family
    2. I am researching an Adam Perry (born about 1800) who was in Washington County for the 1850 and 1860 Census.? He appears to have married a woman 30 years or so his junior named Nancy.? She was born 1829 in Virginia.? Between 1848 and 1860 they had a number of children including William (b. 1849), Adam (b. 1850), Thomas (b. 1852), Leander (b. 1854), John (b. 1856) and James (b. 1858).? Although I cannot find them in 1870 census there is a WC death record for a George Perry, son of Adam and Nancy born 1875. Does anyone have access to marriage records and can tell me when Nancy and Adam married (mid to late 1840s I suspect) and what her name was?? And, is anyone researching the family ??? Thanks in advance. ________________________________________________________________________ More new features than ever. Check out the new AOL Mail ! - http://webmail.aol.com

I am wondering if my John and Claiborn are brothers. I keep going back to the 1810 1820 census and it seems that John and Claibourn are in the same age range ,(to 45).That would seem to make Claibourn just a few years older than my John. If Claiborn was a member of the militia in the early 1800's,he might have been rather old if he was the father of john.(born abt 1777-1780.) What to you think? I am aware others have suggested they are father/son. I really do not know what to thnk. What is your source of information? Claiborn seems to have disappeared after he sells all his land to John. Who is the 16yr female living with Claiborn in 1810? I will go back to more of my records to lok for new clues. Jean Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. There's some info here that I didn't have before! I'm wondering if there is any info on Mark Kennedy (Keneada/Keneda etc) (b 1805) & Susan W specifically? a marriage that lists Mark's parents? I can't understand why I'm so stuck on the info for Mark's folks. t Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
