According to the family history we've been given and researched, our Alexander was married to an Ann DOUGLASS or perhaps MURRAY, and had the two children, Charles Lewis and Elizabeth. Alexander died sometime after 1806 and before 1811, when Ann married James MEADOWS. They then moved to Menard Co Illinois, where many of the Montgomery descendants of Charles Lewis still reside. Does anyone have any additional info on Charles's father Alexander's date of death, Alexander's parents, or when the family originally settled in the US? Thanks for any help - Kathy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I believe these might be my family. I have been searching for David Smyth who married Sarah Stuart in Washington county Virginia, they had one son Jonathan Smyth who married Elizabeth Betsy Edmiston in Washington County Virginia. I am at a dead end on David, I know he is buried in Glade Spring & also from Sarah's will she mentions a step daughter Hannah Worsham wife of William Worsham. She also mentions a sister Eleanor McCarty. I could not find a will for David but found a property appraisment that mentioned Enoch Smyth.I have been uable to trace David any farther back. My brother did do a DNA test but all it has given me so far is that we are of Scandinavian decent. Any little bit of information on this Smith/Smyth family would be most helpful. thank you Jane Smythe Parks S Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. This message came back when I sent it to the following email address. Perhaps someone can help me with my search for my 5th g-grandmother, Sally Thompson! ----- Original Message ----- From: Margaret Beckwith To: jobeth44@earthlink.net Sent: Monday, April 07, 2008 5:26 PM Subject: Thompson Genealogy Hi, I have been trying to locate a Sally Thompson, born in Virginia, who married Edward Elsey sometime after the Revolutionary War. They are my 5th g-grandparents on my mother's maternal side. They only had one child that we know of, Thompson Elsey, who was born in ca. 1811. I noticed in your line chart that there was a Sally Thompson, b. 1782, who I believe it shows she married a Radford. Do you have any additional information about this Sally Thompson? Margaret Kerr Beckwith Elkins, West Virginia
I am looking for information on the William Lewis family. He died in 1782 and the Benjamin John family. I believe early land grants have William Lewis adjoining Joshua Jones, James Jones, and Benjamin John. I haven't seen these records for myself. I am trying to find information on all of these items. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Marianne Dillow
