I am searching for information on Phebe Habiatt who married Halbert McClure, October 1, 1792, in Washington Co., Va. She is listed in Genealogy.coms "Virginia Familiy Histories #3, 1600s-1800s". I am trying to determine if this Halbert McClure is the one that died in Blount Co, Tn, in 1829. Also any children Phebe may have had. If anyone has this CD I would very much appreciate a lookup. I am a descendent of Elijah DeBusk and Catherine Rouse. My grandmother's account was always that she was told the original name was DeBouse and it was French. She was also told as a little girl the the family came over on "The Good Ship Grace". Now, since her name was Gracie, this might have been made up but I don't know. She was Gracie Serena DeBusk, daughter of Ira DeBusk and Salura Ellis, son of Christopher DeBusk and Lydia Blevins, son of Issac DeBusk and Elizabeth Kettering, Son of Elijah and Catherine. I have Elijah's father as Jacob DeBusk and his father as Antoni DeBouse. This info is unverified. If you tell me how much the book and postage would be I would gladly send you a check. List, I need help in locating information on Elijah Mcmillian, resided in Washington Co. 1840-1855, he was a bricklayer by trade. He married 1827 in Wythe Co. Betsy Davis and they resided there until 1839-40. Need to know his parents. A court record in Wythe reports in 1832 "Elijah and Meredith McMillian paid $2.00 for bounty on 4 foxes." My grandfather was Joseph Edward Hand born in 1901 in Damascus to James Walter Hand and Rebecca Caroline Cole. He had one brother Walter Franklin Hand. His first wife was Amy Leigh Wilson who died after they moved to Illinois around 1920. His second wife, my grandmother he met and married in Illinois. Rebecca is buried in Illinois but I believe James died before moving to Illinois so I do not know if he is buried in Washington County or not.
