    3. I have recently purchased a copy of the "Virginia Colonial Abstracts Vol 34", which includes a record of Washington County marriages from 1782 to 1820. I would be happy to do look-ups for anyone who thinks they might have ancestors listed among these records. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: BITTLE Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GBC.2ACE/438 Message Board Post: It's been awhile since I posted. I am looking for David Bittle b. 1780 maybe in Ky. He is listed in the Washington Co.,Va census in 1810 with wife, Mary Hunsucker b. 1790 in Burke Co.,NC and one male child 0 to 10. Last name was spelled Bittel. There is also a Jacob Biddle listed in the same census. We have not been able to locate David's parents or connect Jacob Biddle to David. David and Jacob both move to Mo but lived in different counties. I also found a George Brittle in the Bourbon Co.,Ky tax list for 1787--1799. These people are my brick wall and hope someone could shed some light. Thank You Flo

    1. [VAWASHIN] Lees of Washinton Co VA, Jackson Co TN, Perry Co IL & Butler Co KY
    2. My husband's ancestors, Barnett [born Washington Co VA in 1795-1869] & Sarah "Sally" [1800-1881] PARROTT LEE, were most likely married in Jackson Co TN [no date] and started their family there, moved to Perry Co IL in the 1830s and had at least two children there, moved back to Jackson Co, had two or more children and lived out their lives in Butler Co KY. They are on the Butler Co KY 1850, 1860, 1870 [Sarah is living in the household of her son, Thomas] and in the 1880 census she is living next door to her grandson, Sidney and family. There are at least 21 Lee households on the Jackson Co 1840 census with two of them being Barnet & Barnet, Jr. Has anyone ever attempted to straighten them out? If so, I could sure use a little help. I'm looking for the parents, siblings and children of Barnett & Sarah. That's not asking for much.......a clue will do. Thanks & Happy Holidays to All. Judy Don & Judy Foreman Lee UdyDee43@aol.com
