If you are not able to visit during our regular hours, we will be happy to arrange a time by appointment. Our archives has a few gems tucked away ... here and there. Our biggest collection is that of the late Laura Virginia Hale (hence the name). She was an admired historian of our area. She authored several books. The bulk of her research material is housed in our archives. You may be familiar with Josiah Look Dickinson's book on the Fairfax Proprietary. Mr. Dickinson's notes and plats used to write his book, are also in our archives. We have many other collections with interest to Warren County history and it's people. Please also feel free to write us with your inquiry. We charge a modest $5.00 for searching our files (plus 20 cents a copy and postage). Please direct your request to the snail mail address above or by email to me. Happy hunting all! Linda Whitmer Archivist (volunteer) Laura VA Hale Archives Front Royal, VA whitmer@crosslink.net
