Thank you for this posting. I was 5 years old at the time and by the grace of God, my father survived this disaster. I do remember my mother washing the jacket he wore to work because he had used it to pillow someone's head. His name was Harry Brown and he passed away Jan, 1972. Though he survived the many accidents in the mine, he did contract Black Lung disease. I am researching BROWN, WHITT, ARWOOD, KEEN, HOOPS. Sandra Brown Neahusan
