David, Those names are certainly familiar to me. I am descended from Jeremiah Claypool and his first wife, Mary Brown. Their daughter, Rebecca married Henry Cecil. Their daughter, Mary Brown Cecil married William P. Linkous. My Beavers line goes back to Robert "Robin" Beavers who married Catherine Harmon. Their son, Alexander married Elizabeth Hankins. Their son, William married Rebecca Harrison. Their daughter, Rachel, married Charles Godbey. I am also related to Rachel through Robin and Catherine's son William who married Nancy Harrison. Their daughter, Catherine Beavers, married John Thomas Barrett. And so it goes. Eventually, my Crickmer Mom married my Conley Dad and here I am! My entire family was born in Tazewell or surrounding counties. Doubt there are very many there that I am not related to! I was born in Squire in McDowell Co. WV. I now live in CA and have recently started trying to put the family tree together. I find that I am related to three Skaggs sisters --one married Richard Whitt, another married Mathias Harman and the third married John Hankins, SR. Think that takes me pretty far back --perhaps to the beginnings of Tazewell Co. My Conley line goes back to James Conley who married Rachel Stobough in 1806 in Tazewell Co. They lived in Burkes Garden. So, David, guess that makes us cousins!
