My wifes family came out of SW VA in about 1790 to near Kingsport, TN then later on to AL and MS. John Hankins moved into TN and married Dicey Olliver there in 1797. His father-Richard Hankins lived in Montgomery Co, VA and other places in VA. He came South with John and died near Kingsport in 1800. Could this be the same family you were refering to. I have the line down to present day with siblings and some locations if you believe so. Contact me direct if you wish.
