Donna, Thank you! This is the best news I have had in awhile! Matilda just dropped out of sight after Harrison died in Blount County TN. In the 1840 Blount County census - Harrison was listed with wife and 5 children under 15. I have identified 3 of them. Looks like there were a couple more born after 1840 - I wasn't sure when Harrison died - just knew it was before 1850. I haven't been able to locate Harrison's parents nor Matilda's maiden name. I have a cousin who tells me Matilda was a Peery, but I haven't found any proof. I figure she must have had family in Tazewell if she returned there as a Widow with small children. I suspect that Harrison was a middle name - seems most of my relatives used their middle names everywhere except in official records! LOL! Thanks again for the help. I am still at a brick wall, but at least, this confirms that she did move to Tazewell - the Boling family was the only part of my family that was anywhere other than Tazewell or the surrounding counties. Now I need to find out if it was Matilda Martha or Martha Matilda. The marriage records for Mary Jane and Andrew list the mother as Martha. Sorry this is so long - I am really excited about finding any information. Thank you very much! Sheila [email protected] P.S. Donna, are you related to Woodie Mullins? Woodie has been a big help to me. We discovered we are cousins also. :-) Sheila's SURNAMES: Barrett, Beavers, Boling (Bowling), Brown, Claypool, Conley, Crickmer, Godbey, Hankins, Harmon, Linkous, Skaggs, Sparks, Whitt Don's SURNAMES: Allen, Dawson, Goodwin, Hein
