My wife's father was a coal miner in Amonate VA back in the early 1940s, and they lived in Amonate, when it was a mining camp. In fact, her sister was born in house #57, which still stands in Amonate. I am seeking info about early Amonate, and the mines. If anyone knows or can direct me to such info, it would be greatly appreciated. Jack
