This is a wonderful source of photos of the area. Be creative on your search subject and type in any word or name you can think of to increase your chance of good finds. Amy Armstrong has done a wonderful job and deserves to be applauded in the management of this site. It is loaded with information and extremely simple to navigate. It is definitely one of the best on the Internet. The photo description does not include the date taken. The photos I have of Sarah Jane were taken about 1926 and they appear to be close to the same age. I am assuming that the Mary Ferrell pictured was Patton Martin's daughter and was married to a Ferrell. I have not done any research on the Ferrell name yet. I did see her name listed on one of the Cemetery lists on this page. There are a couple of photos of Patton Martin's old cabin also included. To be able to see the homes of our ancestors is a most rewarding experience. It places exactly where they lived at a particular time and a peep into what their life may have been like. The LVA I hope that this information helps and please let me know how you do and if this proves to be your line.
