In Reference to and in part: <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Dear Kim, Monte Vista is in Mercer county, WV half way between Bluefield and Princeton, at the community of Green Valley. It has about 6500 graves, was founded in the mid 1920's, and has been thought of by many as the premier cemetery for Bluefield families.>>>>>>>>>>>>>> You can find Green Valley mentioned here on this WEB Site: http://www.topozone.com/default.asp Use this site to find any community, ridge, hollow, creek regardless of the size. Once there a click on the map or edge of the map will navigate you at about a mile or two any direction. You can also right click on the screen and get a menu that has the zoom selection. This will take you in real close. But you will notice that these maps are put together in squares and you will have to follow this zoom procedure on each square until you get all the squares to size. Type in Bluefield (do not put in the state). A menu will pop up and select Bluefield, WV and your map will pop up. Read and follow the directions. If you like this site you may want to receive their Newsletter once every two weeks. It explains in the latest issue how to get around a problem of printing the map. I like using the 1 to 25,000 size, which will take you in so that you can actually see the homes. I found the home where I was born in Boissevain and those I lived in since in Abbs Valley and Richlands. These maps download to your computer very fast but if you copy them to clip board as they suggest for putting them in your image reader or photo program for printing they can exceed 1 Mb or more of space. I use this site extensively for locating land grants and etc. A wonderful and interesting site that is free and is getting better all the time. Robert Crabtree (formerly of Tazewell County, VA)
