Dear List members: We now have two volunteers to work on collecting tombstone data for Monte Vista Cemetery,..... myself and Barbara Duncan (see below) Is anyone else interested and able? Monte Vista is located halfway between Bluefield and Princeton, and is a very significant cemetery for those with family in Bluefield after the mid 1920's. Today, there are about 6500 graves. I believe it would take a minimum of ten volunteers to make this a viable project. Volunteers would work as they had the time, with no pressing time schedule. I'll be glad to be the chairman or coordinator. I think each volunteer would take responsibility for a certain section of the cemetery. Essentially, it would involve walking from grave to grave in that section, writing down the data from each tombstone, and typing it after returning home. Please contact me, or respond to the list, if you are interested and able. Thanks, Robert L.
