Would you know of any connection to the Beavers family? My Grandfather was supposed to be Stonewall Jackson Rose / Jackson Lee Rose / Jack Rose. Born abt. 1889 in Russell Co., Va. He died in West Virginia in the middle to late 1950's, about Winding Gulf, West Virginia. He married: In 1901 to Elvira Beavers, born abt., 1880 and died abt., 1918. Areas that they were in are: Virginia: Tazewell Co., Tazewell, Horsepen and Bishop. West Virginia: McDowell Co., Yukon, Caretta, and War. Elvira's mother and father is supposed to be, Alexander R. Beavers and Mary Jane Barnett. From Tazewell Co and Big Creek, McDowell Co., Children of Jack Rose and Elvira Beavers; 1. Rufus, born in Bishop, Va., died in Caretta 1965, married Dorothy Doris Mae Lowe of Iaegar, W.Va. 2. Flora (Florrie), born abt. 1899, married to ? Clevenger. Children: Goldie and Elmer. 3. Cora (Corrie), (twin to Dora), born abt. 1907, married to ? Shrewsbury. 4. Dora (Dorrie), (twin to Cora), born abt. 1907. marries to ? Hyder. 5. Martha, born abt. 1909, married to Charlie Rose and Glen Rose. 6. Della (Deallie), born ??, married to Shrewsbury. 7. Lona, Loma, (Lommie), born ??, married ?? Jones. 8. Scioto Savanna (Otie) Rose, born Nov., 12, 1912 in Horsepen, Va., This is my mother. She married Arleigh Clelle Crabtree. After the death of Elvira the children were all seperated to different homes and lost contact with one another. Mother saw her father only once after they were "given out", "fostered".
